6(x-2.5) ≥ 8-6(3.5+x)

A number is before a parenthesis. The first step is to multiply.

6(x-2.5) = 6x -15

8-6(3.5+x)
2(3.5+x)= 7+2x

6x-15≥7+2x

Now solve

6x-15≥7+2x
-2x -2x

(-2x+2x)= They cancel out

(6x-2x)= 4x

4x-15≥7
+15 +15

4x≥22
/4 /4

You get= x≥5.5
