The length of a rectangle is 5 centimeters less than twice its width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 80 cm. What are the dimensions of the rectangle?

Let the width be x

The length would be 2x-5

So, 2(x+2x-5)=80

3x-5=40

3x=45

x=15.

So the width is 15 and the length would be 25.
