Let x be the money, then in order for the ratio to take place we will say,
3:6:1 => 3x:6x:x
If you add all the money together you get 250 So..
3x+6x+x=250, but 3x+6x+x=10x
Therefore 10x=250
                    x=25
So..
3x = 3*25 = 75
6x = 6*25 = 150
  x = 25    = 25
And just to check the answer.. 75+150+25=250
