The value of x is -2

Solution:

Given equation is:

[tex]\frac{1}{3}(x-10) = -4[/tex]

We have to solve the given equation

From given,

[tex]\frac{1}{3}(x-10) = -4[/tex]

Solve so that "x" is in left side of equation and move the remaining terms to other side of equation

[tex]x - 10 = -4 \times 3\\\\Simplify\\\\x - 10 = -12\\\\Isolate\ for\ x\\\\x = -12 + 10\\\\x = -2[/tex]

Thus the value of x is -2
