Alone and lonely have similar definitions but different connotations. Being alone is most often about literally being isolated/away from others, but being lonely is more a feeling of isolation. I hope this helps!

Lonely is when yhu have no body to turn to and your sad and depressed alone is when your by yourself but not sad or nothin just chillin
