Surface Area of A Cylinder

301.44 square inch

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface Area of a cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²

Given Height h = 8 in

Given Base diameter d = 8 in

So the base radius r = [tex]\frac{d}{2}[/tex]

r  = [tex]\frac{8}{2}[/tex] = 4

Curved Area = 2πrh = 2 × 3.14 × 4 × 8 = 200.96

Total Surface Area (SA)=  2πrh + 2πr²

SA = 2 ×3.14 × 4 × 8 + 2 × 3.14 × 4 × 4

SA = 200.96 + 100.48

SA = 301.44 square inch
