The surface area of the figure with a diameter of 6cm and height of 25cm is 84π square cm

The total surface area of a cylinder

The formula for calculating the TSA of a cylinder is expressed as:

S = 2πr(r+h)

Since the figure is half of a cylinder, hence;

S = πr(r+h)

Given the following

r = 6/2 = 3cm

h = 25cm

Substitute

S = π(3)(3+25)

S = 84π square cm

Hence the surface area of the figure below is 84π square cm
