point slope form is y-y1=m(x-x1)
but first you must get a slope between two points using [tex] m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1} [/tex]
insert (-2,-1) and (6,5)
[tex]m= \frac{5+1}{6+2} m=\frac{3}{4} [/tex]
3/4 is your slope, then put this into point slope form
y+1 = 3/4(x +2)
