Slope of two points is [tex] \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}} [/tex]. Plugging in your values, order does not matter, gives you [tex]\frac{-7-(-19)}{-2-1}=\frac{12}{-3}=-4[/tex], meaning your slope is -4.
