Given equation is 2x²+x-28 = 0

⇛ 2x²+8x-7x-28 = 0

⇛ 2x(x+4)-7(x+4) = 0

⇛ (x+4)(2x-7) = 0

⇛ x+4 = 0 or 2x-7 = 0

⇛ x = -4 or 2x = 7

⇛x = -4 or x = 7/2.
