The midpoint formula is :

[tex](\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\frac{y_1+y_2}{2})[/tex]

From the problem, we have the points :

[tex]A(6,-17),B(-6,17),C(4,9)\quad \text{and}\quad D(-4,4)[/tex]

Let's check each segment in the options that will give a midpoint at the origin (0, 0)

For AB :

[tex](\frac{6-6}{2},\frac{-17+17}{2})=(0,0)[/tex]

Since we already got the midpoint at the origin, the answer is AB
