Weare asked to find the slope of the segment that joins the points (-3, -5) and (-6, 10) on the plane.

We used the formula for the slope:

slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

which in our case gives:

slope = (10 - -5) / (-6 - -3) = 15 / -3 = -5

The slope is -5.
