Given:

a.) A circle with a diameter of 8 yards.

For us to get the area of the circle, we will be using the following formula:

[tex]\text{ Area = }\frac{\pi D^2}{4}[/tex]

Where,

D = the diameter of the circle = 8 yards

We get,

[tex]\text{ Area = }\frac{\pi D^2}{4}[/tex][tex]\text{ = }\frac{(3.14)(8)^2}{4}[/tex][tex]\text{ = }\frac{(3.14)(64)}{4}[/tex][tex]\text{ = (3.14)(16)}[/tex][tex]\text{ Area = }50.24yd^2[/tex]

Answer: 50.24 square yards
