You would do 1/3 * 24

Which would give you 8

Hey there,

So in order to do this you need to think of 24 as 1 whole

Once we know that and we know that 1/3 of the 24 tulips are red

Therefore, in order to find this we have to divide the 24 tulips by 3 in order to find how many tulips are red

24/3 = 8

Therefore, 8 out of the 24 tulips are red.
