The area of a square is 36in what is the length of each side

Area = a^2.....where " a " is the length of one side

A = 36

36 = a^2......take the square root of both sides, eliminating the ^2
sqrt 36 = a
6 = a <=== so each side is 6 inches

It would be 6 inches because you can divide 36 by 6
