The straight line is given by the equation
y=kx+b
We substitute coordinates of points
1=-2k+b (1)
5=4k+b (2)
We give a system of equations
Solution of this system:
(1) b=1+2k
(2) 5=4k+1+2k
6k=4
k=2/3
b=1+4/3=7/3
y=2/3x+7/3
